volunteering

Community enterprises can often bring an added resource to service delivery by involving volunteers.  Volunteers provide a valuable source of energy, enthusiasm and expertise to enterprises.  One of the most valuable forms of volunteering is joining the management committees or boards of community enterprises.

Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, providing an opportunity to undertake rewarding work, learn new skills and make new friends.  Many larger employers have come to realise the value, in personal and professional development, of encouraging their employees to volunteer.
