recycling

A number of community enterprises reprocess, recycle, refurbish and re-use waste materials. Many also have a social dimension: providing work for a particular client group, being owned by their employees or members, or being rooted within a particular community.

The Gloucestershire Community Waste Partnership represents 30 community enterprises engaged in recycling and waste reduction. With ACE funding, the Partnership launched a website which allows members and the public to search for community recycling organisations in Gloucestershire. A paper version of the directory is also available in libraries and council offices across Gloucestershire.
