arts and crafts

Many well-loved arts facilities in Gloucestershire; theatres, arts centres and galleries are run as community enterprises.  The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham is a jewel amongst the UK's theatres.  Community based arts projects and learning facilities enable hundreds of people to participate in artistic activities.

In addition many individual artists and craft workers are forming community enterprises to share facilities and market their work.  Gloucestershire Printmakers Co-operative enables artists working in the medium of printmaking to share facilities which are also open to local schools.  Dean Oak Co-operative enables artists and craftspeople to access supplies of forest timber which would otherwise go to waste.
